The short version

EllieCode writes static websites from a description. This page says plainly what happens to what you type.

What you type is used to build your site

Your description, your follow-up requests and the files Ellie writes are stored in Cloudflare D1 so your projects survive a page reload. Requests are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the site. Nothing is sent to any other processor.

How you are identified

A random identifier in a private, HttpOnly cookie. No name, no email, no password, no third-party analytics. Clearing cookies or using another browser means a fresh, empty workspace.

What you own

The files Ellie writes for you. Export them at any time as a zip. There is no attribution requirement and no telemetry in the generated code.

What you should not do

Do not ask Ellie to reproduce someone else's site, or to generate pages that impersonate a person or business you do not represent. Generated sites are yours to review before you publish them.

What Ellie can see on your device

Only what you hand her. The workspace has a Connect a folder button that opens your browser's own folder picker; the browser asks you to confirm, and the permission lasts for that tab. Ellie then reads the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Markdown, JSON, SVG and text files in that folder, up to 40 files and 400 KB, and only the first eight of them are sent with your next message so she can work from your real code.

Writing goes the other way and only on your instruction: Write to folder shows you the exact list of files first, then writes them into the folder you picked. Nothing is read or written in the background, and no other folder on your computer is touched.

What she can see in your browser

One page at a time, and only the one you paste into Reference a page. Ellie fetches that public URL on the server, extracts its title, headings and a short text digest, and uses it while writing your site. There is no browser extension, no access to your history, tabs, cookies or signed-in sessions, and no crawling of anything you did not name. Reference digests are kept in the page, not stored on our side, and are shared with nobody.

Who your work is shared with

Nobody by default. A project belongs to the anonymous cookie in the browser that built it. Files you connect from your device never leave it unless you send a message, and then they go to the model provider (Cloudflare) for that one request. There are no public project URLs, no analytics, and no third-party scripts on this site.

No voice, ever

There is no microphone permission, no speech recognition and no audio playback in this product. It is a text editor with an agent in it.

Accuracy

Ellie writes quickly and can be wrong. Check what she writes before you put it in front of customers, especially prices, hours, legal statements and contact details.

Removing your data

Delete a site from the workspace and its files are removed with it. To have a whole workspace erased, write to hello@elliecode.com from the browser you used and it will be cleared.
